Company History

Claude & Jeanette Anderson, who ran their residential electrical company from their garage, founded Claude M. Anderson Electric Company, Inc. in the early 1950’s. Anderson Electric was a 1952 charter member of the Saint Paul Chapter of National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and was incorporated in 1959. Though the company has evolved and grown from those early days, our commitment to provide Quality Electrical Installations & Service to our customers has always remained our focus.

Anderson Electric has a great deal of electrical experience in new construction and renovation work at churches, schools, commercial facilities, light industrial facilities and data centers. We strive to be proactive in our projects, working as a team with our customers, architects & engineers, general contractors and other trades to resolve issues. We provide design & build services or plan & specification services as requested by our customer. We have completed electrical projects ranging from a simple $100 service call to our largest project which was over $8,000,000.

Anderson Electric is a full service electrical contracting company, working throughout the Twin City metropolitan and surrounding areas, including western Wisconsin. We employ an average of 40 to 60 state-licensed electricians who are members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). We believe one of our biggest strengths is our talented and experienced staff of office and field employees, many who have been with Anderson Electric for over twenty years.

John Schroepfer and Steve Bryant are the owners of Anderson Electric. John is responsible for the overall operations of the company including field operations, estimating and engineering. John is the Master Electrician of Record for our company with over 20 years of experience in the electrical industry. Steve is responsible for development of new business. Steve spent many years at West Group (formerly West Publishing) managing the operations of their large facility, with a staff of over 200 employees, as the Manager of Engineering & Facilities.

We believe that Anderson Electric has an excellent reputation for installing quality electrical work and completing projects on schedule. Our mission is to listen to our customers and provide them with prompt and courteous solutions, working as a team from start to finish on their projects.
